MADRID, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona has announced that the club will close the deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk central defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy this Sunday.
The Barcelona press office announced that the Ukrainian had arrived in Barcelona at midday to visit the club offices and sign his contract.
He will then undergo a full medical, before being officially presented as a new player to the press and the fans ahead of Monday's Primera Liga game against Sporting Gijon
Barcelona has paid 25 million euros for the central defender that coach Pep Guardiola has wanted all summer.
Ironically Chygrynskiy's last game for Shakhtar was against Barcelona last Friday in the final of the European Supercup, a game which Barcelona won 1-0.
He is Barcelona's third signing of the summer after the arrivals of left back Maxwell and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovich, both of whom joined from Inter Milan.
