JAKARTA, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Top Chinese men and women single and double players singled out on Wednesday night to face their further contenders in the continuing round of Indonesia Open 2009 super series held here.
Yihan Wang won her qualifying match against Dutch Judith Meulendijks 21-14 and 21-15.
Chinese men's single shuttler Chen Jin, ranked number 6 in Badminton World Federation's (BWF) ranking, won the qualifying match against Malaysian contender Kuan Ben Hong in two straight games at an equal score of 21-11.
The world's number seven women's single shuttler Lu Lan finished her match with a glory after defeated Maja Tvrdy from Slovenia in two straight games 21-11 and 21-15.
In Men's double Chinese players Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng, the world's number 5, easily finished the match in two games 21-14 and21-6 against Indonesian players Fernando Kurniawan and Lingga Lie.
Meanwhile, the world's number six women's double player Zhang Yawen and Zhao Ting Ting easily defeated their Dutch contender Rachel van Cutsen and Pauline van Dooremalen 12-13 and 21-19.
The qualified players will move forward to the quarter final and semi final on Friday and Saturday. The Final match was initially scheduled to take place on June 21 in Istora Senayan stadium here.
More than 280 players from 27 countries take part in the Badminton super series tournament that provides 250,000 U.S. Dollars of rewards.
