RIO DE JANEIRO, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian men's volleyball team beat Poland in three sets on Sunday at Sao Paulo in their second match in the World League of volleyball.
With set scores of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-15, Brazil won their sixth straight set against Poland. On Saturday, Brazil lost their first set against Poland and then turned around to win the following three sets.
On Sunday, Brazil picked up where they left off, winning in a convincing fashion.
"We started today's game much better and without as much nervousness. We were able to make our passes with facility and precision. Even with some of the minor changes, we were able to keep up the quality of our game. We played much better today than we did yesterday," commented the team's captain, Murilo.
One of the factors that helped Brazil to victory was the European style of play. Using taller players at the net as well as taller athletes serving the ball, Brazil was able to achieve their second victory in the World League.
Brazil's next challenge will be against Finland. Brazil will host Finland in the capital city of Brasilia on June 19 and June 20.
