WASHINGTON, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Australian Olympian Patty Mills Monday said he would give up the last two years of college in order to keep his name in the NBA draft.

Mills, 20, was among 12 players to work out in two separate sessions Monday for 21 NBA teams at the Golden State Warriors' practice facility.

The Saint Mary's College point guard even campaigned for the Warriors to select him on draft day June 25 so he can stay in the Bay Area.

Mills scored 20 points in the Beijing Olympic quarterfinals against the gold medal-winning U.S. team full of NBA stars. He also had three assists, two steals and no turnovers.

Mills averaged 18.7 points, 4.0 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals during his sophomore season at Saint Mary's after he made a name for himself in the United States with his standout freshman season and college appearances with Saint Mary's College.
