HARBIN, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- China drew with Senegal 0-0 at an international soccer friendly here on Wednesday.

China were the better side in the whole game with more possession and shots. But the Africans did well in the defense.

The hosts had their best chance of the first half when central defender Feng Xiaoting headed a nice pass a little wide of the far post in the 38th minute.

China launched stronger attacks after the break and created several good chances. Midfielder Qu Bo missed a one-on-one small angle shot following Jiang Ning's fine pass on 57 minutes, before Jiang had a half-volley inside the box parried by the keeper.

Jiang squandered a golden opportunity in the 68th minute, when his close range shot was denied by an advancing keeper. Du Wei and Yang Hao had two threatening long range efforts in the last few minutes, but both went a little bit wide of the post.
