Palmeiras hopes to receive quick answer regarding Vagner Love

RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Palmeiras soccer club announced on Monday that they expect to receive a definitive answer regarding Vager Love's signing by August 27.

Love is expected to have a meeting with his Russian team, CSKA, on August 25, finalizing his wishes to return to Brazil.

CSKA is expected to give Palmeiras a definitive answer regarding a possible loan to the Brazilian team. CSKA is not yet ready to get rid of the star striker, but is looking into appeasing the player's desire to return to Brazil in order to be closer to the national team and their campaign in the 2010 World Cup.

Palmeiras has been negotiating with CSKA for more than a month. The team out of Sao Paulo is trying to repatriate the player until June of 2010, just before the World Cup in South Africa kicks off. Another team actively participating in Love's return to Brazil is Santos.

Santos' team president, Marcelo Teixeira claims that his club and Love have already agreed upon the player's salary and are simply waiting for the Russian team's acceptance of the loan.
